Yes I am a CB fan, die hard, but I don’t like every he does, and if I don’t like it, I say, ‘I don’t like it!” I don’t sugar coat it and I don’t act like everything he does is epic because it’s not! It’s like you try to scream at people behind the computer screen. Like I said, I am not gonna say he sold out’ or that I blame him, but I think it is obvious that he doing what he has to do to sell, and I personally DO NOT like this sound from him at all! Usher is the King or R&b, not Pop! You seem to be very angry! That’s what I have noticed about people who use all caps. He still has given us r&b with “There Goes My Baby’ and ‘Papers’ but he has released a lot more pop/techno than r&b records and I think that’s because with the failure of his last album, he wanted to capture mainstream attention again. Raymond’ has more r&b on it than pop, but he has never done this techno sound before. I don’t blame him and I am not gonna say he ‘sold out’, per se, because ‘Raymond v. I honestly feel like Usher is just doing this type of music because it’s hot right now. How do you go from ‘Confessions’ to that? ‘Here I Stand’ was his only album to perform poorly, and that’s because it was a boring ass album. Other than that, when has Usher done pop? I honestly can’t remember any pop songs from those albums, except maybe ‘Caught Up’ from ‘Confessions’. Yes Usher has always been mainstream, but he gained mainstream attention through R&b music, not pop! ‘My Way’ and ‘8701’ and ‘Confessions’ were all r&b albums. As a veteran in the game he shouldn’t be following trends. It just doesn’t suit him to me, it’ seems forced. When I hear him do this ish it’s like he is trying to compete with all the younger acts out. I miss the “U Make Me Wanna’ Usher, the ‘Nice and Slow’ Usher, the ‘My Way’ Usher, ‘U Got It Bad’ Usher, the ‘Yeah’ Usher, the ‘Confessions’ Usher.
Blah! Usher will always be that smooth R&b dude to me, I don’t like this side of him at all. He just changed it to this annoying ass beat to appeal to the masses. Well the original was just ok to me, and this is no better. End of I agree! I wish he had given us a video for ‘Hot Tottie’ too and ‘I’m Guilty’ was my ish! *sigh* Oh well. If you idiots want to continue to buy this crap with your money then do it, but don’t tell me the shut the f**k up because I choose to support real music with my money. I don’t, but I made a point to say that I wouldn’t have gotten the song “Boing!” if it wasn’t free, and I was telling the absolute truth. And you know why he did that? Many other Chris Brown fans eat it up. I had seen that Chris tweeted about how many “artists” are settling for mediocrity these days and then not even three days later, he posted that crap. I feel that Usher and Chris are extremely talented men, and just as I said with Usher, Chris should not put anything out that is less than the best, even if it is for a mixtape. I should have said that on the actual post for the song in the first place.
